(APJ Abdul Kalam. Img Source:http://presidentofindia.nic.in)I quite appreciate the work done by Kalam Sir and am very fond his books (Wings of Fire and Ignited Minds). I don't want him away from this job and as such the other names in consideration are quite scary.
So vote for him and if you haven't visited President's website yet do visit it. It's great fun to read his speeches and lectures.

its a great honour that India's
first person is such a intelectual personality but don't u all think that its only a "show case" post and nothing else, he is only a puppet in the hands of govt and cant take independent decesions so why to waste the quality of a person let him do in what ever he is good at and make prez any one else

dont you think ... na I dont want ny opinion .. but I think the role of indian prez has been more and more mannequinized ...
"The post" has been pushed by the system and constiution to just a title ... as were being given pre-independence
th thing is tht this post is not meant for to b tht way... its more a symbolic post bcoz it was meant to b tht way
but r we ready for a constitutional transformation and experiment somethng as radical as the two party system or differential voting or a powerful president...
i thnk th way indian democracy is run, its th best possible format for such size and scale and it shud b left tht way
